Description
This folly, dating from the 18th century, is located about 10 meters south of the drive to the east of Chavenage House. It takes the form of a picturesque ruined archway made of rubble stone. The tall pointed archway is framed by "ruined" masonry in a large rounded arch shape, which is overgrown with ivy. There are remains of half tree trunks on each side of the arch, suggesting that there may have once been some kind of additional rustic arch. Behind the arch, there are foundations of a round building, which may have only ever existed in this state.
