Description
The dovecote located southwest of the Manor House is an excellent example of 16th-century architecture, although it may date back even earlier. Constructed from rubble with flush stone quoin, it features a Cotswold stone roof. The building is square with gables on each side and a lantern light. It has a continuous dripmould and a plinth, along with stone mullion windows, one on each face. The south side has a Tudor-arch doorway, which is currently obscured by a 20th-century lean-to. Inside, the dovecote retains its nesting boxes and has an extended collar truss roof.
