Description

Hillside is a cottage located in Naunton Village, originally comprising two sections along with a stable and tack room to the east. It dates from the mid-19th century but shows evidence of 17th-century origins. The building is constructed of rubble, with some cut and squared stone, and features a Cotswold stone roof topped with three ridge chimneys. It has two storeys and a symmetrical facade with four segment-headed casement windows arranged in a 2:2 pattern. To the right, there is a one-bay extension and steps leading to the tack room. The plain rubble facing the road adds to its rustic charm. Hillside is included for its group value, as it contributes significantly to the picturesque view of the village from the A436.
