Description
This stable and cart store with a loft above is located approximately 5 meters east of the barn at Pinchpool Farm. It dates from the late 18th century to the mid-19th century. The building is constructed from coursed squared and dressed limestone, topped with a stone slate roof and features a rectangular plan.
On the right side, there is a three-bay cart-shed, with the bays separated by stone-built square columns that have flat-chamfered imposts and a timber lintel. To the left are the stables, which include a stable door flanked by unglazed single windows that have ventilation slits. The first floor has three windows, one of which is a fixed 6-pane window. There are steps leading up to the gable ends, providing access to plank doors for the loft. The gable ends are finished with flat coping. Inside, there is a feeding slot from the hay loft along the rear wall of the stable. This building is an important part of the farmyard group.
