CHEDWORTH - SP 01 SW 2/103 Barn, c90m north of Marsden Manor

GV II

Barn. Dated 1776 on the porch gable. Limestone rubble; stone slate and slate roofing. Rectangular plan with a projecting porch and lean-to on the west side. West front: projecting gabled porch off-centre right with double doors and timber lintel; lean-to to the left of the porch with single-width doorway. Stone steps up the south gable end with pitching door above. Square ventilation holes. Interior: 7 bays; original collar and tie-beam trusses with double purlins and common rafters.
