Description
This barn, located approximately 90 meters north of Marsden Manor, dates back to 1776, as indicated on the porch gable. It is constructed from limestone rubble and features both stone slate and slate roofing. The barn has a rectangular plan with a projecting porch and a lean-to on the west side. The west front includes a projecting gabled porch positioned off-centre to the right, which has double doors with a timber lintel. To the left of the porch, there is a lean-to that contains a single-width doorway. Stone steps lead up to the south gable end, where there is a pitching door above. The barn also has square ventilation holes. Inside, it consists of seven bays, featuring original collar and tie-beam trusses, along with double purlins and common rafters.
