Description
This is a stone stile and an attached wall, dating from the early to mid-19th century, located on the north side of Mawley Road in Quenington, adjacent to the wall of Quenington House. The stile features a single upright stone slab with steps on both sides at the back and front, as well as a lower central step on the street side. The adjoining wall is constructed of coursed rubble stone, partly built as a drystone wall, with vertical top stones and a 20th-century cement coping. The wall has dressed stone quoins on the left and extends approximately 1.5 meters to the left of the stile before returning to meet the perimeter wall of Quenington House, and stretches about 4 meters to the right.
