Description

Broadlands House is a late 18th-century building on the west side of Victoria Street. It is constructed of coursed rubble and has a Bradstone roof. The building is L-shaped, with the shorter wing facing the street. It is three storeys high with an attic, featuring a regular 1:1 window arrangement. The windows are predominantly casements with elliptical heads, and sash windows with glazing bars set within raised surrounds; a modern French window is present in the gable end. The front door is a six-panel design with two glazed panels and a flat hood, positioned within the angle of the L-shape. The steeply pitched roof is punctuated by an ashlar stack at each end and a gabled dormer. Victorian railings line the road, incorporating a central gate leading to a path.
