Description

The boundary wall to the south-west, south, and east of Harrington House and Garden House dates from the 18th century and was repaired around 1922. It is constructed of rubble and extends from the entrance screen along Bow Lane, returning to the north-east corner of the site. The wall is approximately 6 feet high, with a taller section opposite the east front of Harrington House. This section features end piers capped by urns and a central aedicular niche that contains a 20th-century statue of a satyr holding pan-pipes.
