Description
Sherborne Terrace, consisting of Nos 1, 2, and 3, is a mid-17th century building, dated 1650 on a plaque, that was restored in 1914. It is constructed from coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and features a steeply pitched Cotswold stone roof with stone verges. A continuous drip mould runs over the windows and doors on the ground floor. The terrace has two storeys and attics, with each house having one window and a door set in a four-centred arch on the right-hand side. Nos 1 and 2 include a two-storey bay with six-light mullion windows; the bay of No 1 is dated 1650, while No 2's bay dates from 1914. Above these bays are large gables featuring three-light mullion windows. No 3 has three-light mullion windows, with two-light windows in its gable. The entire front of the terrace is marked by pigeon holes. There are ashlar stacks with moulded caps, and the centre of the roof has been retiled. An extension to the right of No 1 has been converted from an outhouse.
