Description

Manor Farmhouse and the adjoining outbuildings at the rear are located in Little Rissington and date from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with extensions added in the late 18th to early 19th century and further alterations in the 19th century. The main structure is built from cream-colored, thinly-bedded, coursed, roughly squared limestone, while the later extensions are made from orange-colored coursed squared and dressed limestone, featuring dressed stone quoins. The main body has a stone slate roof, and the outbuildings at the rear have a concrete tile roof.

The farmhouse has a rectangular plan with successive extensions to the left and outbuildings positioned at right angles to the rear. It is two storeys tall with an attic, which is lit by a single gablet at the far right. The facade has four windows, including three 3-light stone-mullioned casements on the ground floor and a mix of 2 and 3-light stone-mullioned casements on the first floor. There is also a two-light stone-mullioned casement with a stopped hood above the gablet. The later extension on the left has a lower roofline and features a blocked segmental-headed doorway with a single double-chamfered light inserted in the blocking. A 20th-century door with fillets is located off-centre to the right, framed by a 20th-century surround with a stopped hood.

The outbuildings at the rear were originally part of a stable with a loft and are now partly used as a garage and office. They are 1 to 1½ storeys high, with a gable positioned at right angles to the stables, which has stone steps leading up to a plank door. There is also a stable door and two 8-pane windows that are hinged at the bottom to the opposite wall, along with a pitching door in the gable end. The interiors have not been inspected.
