Description
The Garden House at The Manor is a 17th-century garden house that was built at the same time as The Manor. It is a square gabled building made of coursed rubble with a stone slate roof. The structure has two storeys and an attic, featuring one window on each floor. The ground floor has a three-light mullioned window, while the gable has a two-light window, both with leaded casements and drip moulds above. The roof is steeply pitched and includes a small ashlar ridge stack and a weathervane.
On the north-east side, there is a doorway with a raised surround and a bay. The north-west gable has a three-centred doorway with a keystone and imposts. Notably, there is graffiti dated 1775 on the right-hand jamb of the doorway, and the entrance features an oak door. Inside, there are corner fireplaces on the ground and first floors, which are currently blocked.
