Description

Hartley House, also known as Lloyds Bank, is a building from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a modillion cornice, a parapet, and long and short chamfered quoins. There is a band at the first and second floor cill levels. The building stands three storeys high and has three windows. It includes a full-height canted bay with sash windows that have glazing bars, except for the ground floor windows on either side of a pedimented doorcase supported by three-quarter Doric columns. Above the doorcase is a central Venetian window with a tripartite lunette window above it. The building is topped with a parapet and a hipped tile roof that has two stacks located behind it.
