Description
The gate piers at The Manor, facing The Chestnuts, date from the 18th century. They are made of plain ashlar and feature cornices and ball finials. The gateway is currently blocked by rubble walling and a small wooden door. The structure includes tall rubble walls, measuring between 8 and 11 feet, which extend towards the Baptist Church to the southeast and enclose the boundary to the north, west, and northeast. The walls that flank the lane between Dial House and The Manor are an important part of the architectural fabric of Bourton-on-the-Water.
