Description

WINDRUSH BARRINGTON PARK SP 21 SW 5/241 Bridge over River Windrush, c300m south west of Barrington Park House GV II

Bridge. C19. Ashlar. Two rusticated segmental arches with vermiculated keystone over River Windrush. Central pier with diagonally set breakwater, similar breakwaters to bridge abutments. Square piers with pyramidal cappings to bridge parapet above each breakwater. Low curving linking wall between piers on bank. Cast-iron railing formerly forming major part of the bridge parapet now removed.
