Description
Northfield Barn and the adjoining shelter shed date from the early 19th century. They are constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, featuring dressed stone quoins. The barn has a slate roof, while the shelter shed has a concrete tile roof. The barn includes a projecting porch on its south side and an open-fronted store to the right. The porch on the south side is gabled and has a lean-to on the left. The gable ends have flat coping. The single-storey open-fronted store to the right has eight open bays, which are divided by conical circular stone-built columns that taper towards the top. There are also remains of a manger along the back wall.
