Description

A group of three monuments is located in the churchyard approximately 6 metres south west of the porch to the Church of St John the Baptist. The monuments date from the late 18th century and early 19th century and are made of limestone. The group includes one pedestal tomb with fluted pilasters, inscribed to Robert Godfrey, although the date is illegible. There are also two chest tombs; one is inscribed to William Haynes, with the date also illegible, and the other is inscribed to Hannah Fimeld, who died in 1767.
