Description
Owdeswell Manor is a detached house that dates from the 17th century and has 20th-century alterations. It is constructed from coursed squared and dressed limestone, topped with a stone slate roof and features stone stacks. The main body of the house is rectangular, with gabled porches added to the garden and entrance fronts in the 20th century. There is also a narrow rectangular block, which has been largely rebuilt in the 20th century, extending to the right.
On the west front, there is a forward-facing gable on the right side. The building has two storeys and an attic, which is illuminated by two 2-light 20th-century dormers that have metal casements and leaded panes, with hung tiles on the sides. The ground and first floors are lit by 2 and 3-light stone-mullioned casements that have stopped hoods and leaded lights. There is a 20th-century studded plank door at the front of the gabled porch, which is set within a basket-headed surround. The interior has not been inspected.
