Description
The Churchyard Cross, located in the churchyard of the Church of the Holy Rood, dates from the 14th century. It is made of limestone and consists of a square base with two steps; the lower step features a projecting capping with a flat-chamfered margin. The cross shaft is the lower half of an octagonal shape, which has diamond stops at the base. This shaft is set into the square base, which has moulded corners and a projecting flat chamfer at the bottom. The cross is situated approximately 4 meters south of the Thomas Heines monument.
