Description
This stable, located approximately 20 meters northeast of The Old Bakery, dates from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed from random rubble limestone and features a stone slate roof. The building includes a stable with a loft over the northwest end and a cartshed to the southwest.
The single gable has a loft doorway with a timber lintel and a plank door, which is accessed by stone steps. To the right of these steps is the stable doorway, also with a timber lintel and a plank door. The cartshed has plank doors with a timber lintel. The interior was not inspected, but the stable is noted to be unaltered, although it was in poor condition at the time of the survey in March 1986. This stable is part of a group that includes High Gables, The Old Bakery, and a pigsty.
