Description

This barn, located approximately 15 meters north of Grove Farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed from limestone rubble with dressed quoins and features a concrete tile roof. The barn has a rectangular plan and includes a projecting porch that is off-centre to the left on the south side. There is a double-width opening leading into the porch, which has a pigeon loft above that is now rendered. The porch contains double 20th-century plank doors, and there is a smaller double doorway with double plank doors on the opposite wall. Ventilation slits are present inside the walls, and the gable ends have flat coping. The interior consists of five bays with double butt purlins and simple tie beam trusses.
