Description

The former coach house to Manchester House, located at No 12 High Street, is a small detached structure dating from the late 18th century. It is built of coursed rubble stone and has a slate roof. The east side features an enlarged double-doored opening with a timber lintel above which is a large unglazed circular window made with stone voussoirs. There is also a small semi-circular opening at the apex of the gable. A small single light can be found on the loft floor of the left-hand return. At the rear, there is a lean-to with a slate roof. This building is an interesting feature at the west end of The Croft and is included for its group value.
