Description

This is an open-fronted cartshed, dated 1789, located approximately 11 metres west of Grove Farmhouse in Cold Aston, also known as Main Street. The structure features limestone rubble and a stone slate roof, with a rectangular plan. It is a single-storey building with a loft, comprising four open bays on the ground floor. Square stone columns with flat-chamfered corners separate the bays, and there is a timber lintel above. The loft has two 20th-century dormers with 2-light wooden casements and timber-clad gables. Stone steps lead up the left gable end to a 20th-century plank door that provides access to the loft.
