Description

The votive column monument, dating from 1763, is located in a ploughed field and was originally intended to terminate the view north from the now-demolished Fairford Park. It features a large square ashlar base with a moulded plinth and cornice. The column itself is an unfluted Doric style with a square section entablature, topped by a small cylindrical cap that has a ball finial set within a square. Close inspection of the monument was not possible at the time of the survey.
