Description
This thatched outbuilding, located approximately 15 metres south of The Lower House, is an early to mid-19th century structure. Originally used partly for livestock, it is now utilized for storage. The building is constructed from drystone limestone rubble and features a thatched roof. It has a 'U'-shaped plan and is single-storey. The north side has an open front supported by timber uprights, while the longer wing on the south side is partially open-sided. There are single-width doorways, including one with a plank door in the gable ends facing the house, and a small two-light wooden casement. The thatched roofing material is particularly notable, as it was once common on minor farm buildings in the area.
