Description
The stableblock adjoining Winson Mill is a structure likely built in the late 18th century. It is constructed from limestone rubble with dressed stone quoins and features a stone slate roof with an ashlar stack. The building has a rectangular plan and is 1 and a half storeys high, with a 20th-century hipped porch on the south side.
The south front includes a wide open-fronted hipped porch located off-centre to the left, a segmental-headed stable door to the right, and a 6-pane top-opening casement also to the right. There is a single row of pigeon holes with a projecting landing. Above the porch, there is a 20th-century hipped 3-light casement. Additionally, there is a segmental-headed pitching door on the gable end facing the road, which also features a gable-end stack. This building is included mainly for its group value.
