Description

This description refers to a group of two chest tombs located in the churchyard approximately 8 meters south-west of the porch to the Church of St John the Baptist. The tombs date from the mid to late 18th century and one is dated 1840. They are made of limestone. One tomb features fielded end panels and plain sides, inscribed to George Taylor, who died in 1840. The other tomb has a moulded top and domical coping, with an inscription to Elizabeth Hall, although the date is illegible.
