Description
Lake House is a detached house built between the late 18th century and mid-19th century. It features random squared and dressed limestone, with the left gable end constructed of brick. The house has red brick chimney stacks and an artificial stone slate roof. There are extensions on either side of the main structure, made of coursed squared and dressed limestone and brick. The left extension has a slate roof, while the right extension has a stone slate roof. The main body of the house has a rectangular plan, extended by one bay at the right gable end, and includes single-storey extensions at both gable ends. The main body is two storeys tall with an attic, featuring four rendered 20th-century roof dormers that have 4-centred arched 2-light casements. The ground and first floors have similar single, two, and three-light casements. The central entrance has a 19th-century four-panel door, topped by a projecting gabled canopy with a stone slate roof, supported by carved double brackets. There is a partially blocked window with a keystone and a blocked doorway, also with a keystone, to the right of the front door. The house has axial and gable-end stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
