Description

This is a villa dating from approximately 1830 to 1850. It is built of stucco over brick, with a hipped roof covered in artificial slate and an iron verandah. The villa has two storeys and a three-bay front with a two-bay extension to the right. A full-height canted bay is located on the left-hand side. The ground floor features horizontal rustication, and a moulded band runs along the first floor. The first-floor windows in the bay are three narrow, single-pane sashes. The remaining first-floor windows are six-pane sashes, and the ground floor windows to the bay are similar, followed by two tall, single-pane sashes with louvred shutters. All windows are in plain reveals with sills. The entrance is on the left return, consisting of a six-panel door with a fanlight featuring batwing and circular glazing bars. The ground floor verandah to the right has an ornate scroll motif balustrade and uprights. The interior of the villa was not inspected.
