Description
This building is a workshop or warehouse located approximately 23 metres southeast of the Church of St Mary. It is likely from the mid-19th century but includes a roof from the 17th century and possibly bricks from the 17th or 18th century. The structure is made of red brick with a slate roof and features timber-framing on the left gable.
The exterior consists of two storeys, with three blocked segment-headed windows on the first floor and a blind window on the ground floor, along with remnants of two bricked-up windows that had elliptical arches. There are 20th-century double doors added to the front. The roof structure includes rafters on a wall-plate, with a collar braced to a tie-beam at the first-floor level, supported by three trusses. To the left, there is a lower extension with two plus three windows, and a 20th-century extension to the right. The interior has not been inspected. This building forms a group with and is adjacent to The Two Pigs Public House on Church Street.
