Description

The gate piers to Dewerstone House, built in the 1870s, are a pair of structures designed in the Gothic Revival style. They are made of ashlar stone over a brick core. Each pier features a moulded plinth and is square in shape. The angles of the shafts are chamfered, and there is trefoil decoration on the frieze. The piers are topped with triple-chamfered pyramidal caps. These gate piers are an important feature of the streetscape and match the style of Dewerstone House.
