Description

This is a villa built in 1827. It is constructed with stucco over brick, and has concealed roof and stuccoed chimney stacks. The exterior features a bow window at the left, with a tripartite 6/6 sash window between 2/2 sashes on both the ground and first floors; the basement window is a 4/8 sash. Other windows are 6/6 sashes, all with plain reveals and sills. A moulded band runs across the first floor. A flight of roll-edged steps leads to a central entrance with a 6-panel door and a fanlight with radial glazing bars. There is a crowning frieze, cornice, and blocking course. The porch has scrolled uprights and a frieze, and the railings along the sides of the steps have a scroll motif. The interior has not been inspected. The villa occupies a prominent position at the end of numbers 57 to 77.
