Description

A terrace of three houses, numbers 130, 132, and 134, dating to circa 1820. The buildings are constructed with stucco over brick, with a concealed roof, brick end walls and party-wall stacks. Iron balconies and railings are also present. Numbers 130 and 132 have attached area railings to the left and centre, while number 134 has boundary railings to the right. The houses are three storeys to the left and centre, and two storeys to the right, all with basements, and have nine first-floor windows. The stucco detailing includes rustication to the central house, a first-floor band to the centre and right, a continuous second-floor band, a frieze to the left and centre, a continuous crowning cornice, and a blocking course. The windows are mostly 6/6 sashes, with taller windows on the first floor, sills, and plain reveals. There are two entrances to the right, with flights of steps leading to six-panel, four-panel, and part-glazed doors, some with side-lights and overlights; a wide, segmentally-arched light is above the central entrance. Rear windows retain original 6/6 sashes. The interior has not been inspected. The area railings to the left feature a lozenge and oval motif; the first-floor balcony to the centre has a double-scrolled heart and lozenge motif, a lyre frieze, and a scrolled lozenge motif balustrade; lancet railings are present on the right side. To the right, a ground-floor verandah has pilaster uprights and a scrolled frieze.
