Description
Taw Bridge is a road bridge over the River Taw, originally built in the 17th century and widened in the 20th century. It is constructed from local stone rubble, with some dressed granite used for the jambs and cutwaters. The bridge features five spans with elliptical and round arches supported by straight jambs. There are triangular cutwaters between each arch. The carriageway has been widened on both sides, and the parapet has been moved outwards, supported on rolled steel joists resting on top of the cutwaters.
