Description

This is a late 17th-century house, with alterations and additions from the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of rendered cob walls and has a gable ended slate roof, featuring 19th-century decorative ridge tiles. Two brick stacks are present, one central and one at the left gable end, along with a projecting rendered rubble stack at the rear.

Originally the house comprised two or three rooms, with a through passage, the left-hand end being heated by a gable end fireplace. A narrow hall has a stack built against the passage and a projecting window bay at the front. A 20th-century addition sits to the right of the hall. Further 19th-century additions extend to the right-hand end and at the back of the left end.

The front façade is asymmetrical, with a four-window arrangement and a two-storey gabled projection positioned to the left of centre. The windows are 20th-century casements. A 20th-century plank door is located towards the left-hand end, and a 19th-century plank door is situated towards the right end, with a 19th-century one-storey addition projecting beyond it.

Inside, the hall fireplace has an unchamfered plain wooden lintel. The lower room features a narrow chamfered ceiling beam.
