Description

Dated 1859, this is a group of model cottages built by the Duke of Bedford for his miners. The cottages, numbered 34 to 80 Parkwood Road, are arranged in six blocks, with two rows, each block containing four dwellings. They are constructed from stone rubble and granite, with wooden casement windows. The cottages feature small gables above the first-floor windows and over the porches.
