Description
The Courtis ledger stone is fixed to the churchyard retaining wall to the north and east of the Church of St John the Baptist. This early 18th-century slate ledger stone is rectangular in shape and commemorates William Courtis, who died in 1718. It features an inscription around the border and includes two verses in the center, separated by a panel of high-quality decorative relief carving.
