6/172 Pair of Symons chest tombs about - 5m south of the chancel of the church of St Mary

GV II

Pair of chest tombs. Mid C19. The southermost chest is granite ashlar with a chamfered plinth and cornice and stone lid with inscription commemorating Charles Symons, died 1857, and other members of the Symons family. The northernmost is signed Deacon Milton, a stone rubble chest with a stone lid, the slate inscription panel let into the south side commemorates Thomas Symons, died 1851, good lettering within an oval border.
