Row of 4 cottages, formerly part of The Duke of Bedford's estate. Mid C19 with some C20 alterations in progress at time of survey (December 1985). Rendered and lined out, hipped slate roof with rendered ridge stacks. Row of attached cottages/ each with central porch leading to passage, room to left and right; double depth plan.

2 storeys on plinth, each house has 2-light casement with glazing bars to right and left of gabled granite rubble porch with chamfered surround to doorway with shaped head and slate number plate in gable. 2 gabled dormers, each with 2-light casement with glazing bars. Central ridge stack heating inner room of each cottage ridge stack heating outer rooms. Right side has similar gabled porch to No. 4, with 2-light casemer above. Left side has similar porch to No.1, door with raised cover strips, 2-light casement above. Rear has 4 plain doors, each with single and 2-light casement arranged symmetrically. 2-light casement above each door. All casements have glazing bars. 10 panes at ground floor and 8 panes at first floor. Gabled dormers as on front. Interior Not inspected.
