Description
Rose Cottage is a cottage dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of whitewashed rendered cob and features a partial asbestos slate roof that is gabled at both ends. At the time of the survey in 1985, part of the roof was dismantled. The cottage has a rendered stack located at the left gabled end and consists of two cells over two storeys.
The front of the cottage is asymmetrical with two windows. The front door is positioned on the right side under a gabled canopy. To the left of the door is an 8-pane fixed window on the ground floor, and above the door is a small one-light window. On the first floor, to the left, there is a three-light casement window with glazing bars. There are no windows at the rear of the cottage. A small lean-to structure adjoins the left gable end, and the principals are said to be visible in the first-floor rooms. The interior has not been inspected.
