Description

No 4, the Society of Friends, is a cottage dating from around 1817. It is one of a pair of cottages that flank the entrance to Canal Wharf, with the other being No 5. The building is two storeys high and constructed from stone rubble, topped with a slate roof. At the rear, there is an outshut. The front features three round-headed casements with Gothic-style heads and a cambered doorcase. To the right side, there is a rubble pier, and the right side elevation is hung with slate.
