Description

No 5 Canal Road is a cottage built around 1817, part of a pair that flank the entrance to Canal Wharf, with No 4 being the other. The building is two storeys high and constructed of stone rubble, topped with a slate roof. It features three round-headed casement windows, one of which is now blocked and has some blocked heads. The cottage also has a round-headed doorcase.
