Description

The cart shed, now used as an implement shed, is located approximately 20 meters west-north-west of Place Barton House in Buckland Monachorum. It dates from the early 19th century but may incorporate earlier walling or re-use earlier materials. The structure features stone rubble walls with dressed granite quoins and a gable-ended slate roof with coping stones. It is a three-bay cart shed that is open-fronted and divided by wooden posts. On the rear wall, there are two granite-framed slits, with one located in each gable wall, which may also have been re-used.
