Description
The Nook and the adjoining cottage to the north are a pair of cottages dating from the 18th century. They feature rendered cob and rubble walls with a thatched roof that is gabled on the left side and hipped at the right end. There is a central brick axial stack. Each cottage has a two-room plan, with a larger heated room on the inside and a smaller outer service room.
The cottages are two storeys high. The Nook, located on the right, has an asymmetrical front with three windows, which are late 20th century PVC casements. There is a panelled door to the right of the centre. The adjoining cottage to the left also has an asymmetrical front with three windows, featuring early to mid 20th century two and three-light casements, and a central late 20th century part-glazed door. The interior was inaccessible at the time of the survey.
