Description
Twinaway Bungalow is a toll-house that has been converted into a bungalow, likely built in the early 19th century. The building features solid rendered walls and a hipped slate roof, with two red-brick chimneys symmetrically placed along the ridge. It has a single-depth plan that is three rooms wide and is a single storey.
The front of the bungalow includes a large canted bay, which has a doorway at the center and a window on each side, flanked by two additional windows. The structure sits on a raised plinth, from which four pilaster strips rise to a plain stringcourse just below the eaves. The flat-headed doorway has a shaped cement surround and features a four-panelled door. The windows are round-headed, mostly consisting of six-paned wood casements with two radial bars in the head. One window on the left side is different, featuring a nine-paned fixed sash with three radial bars in the head. Additionally, there is a moulded board below the eaves.
