Description

This is a headstone located about 3 meters east of the transept of the Church of the Holy Cross in Tetcott. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of slate. The headstone features a cross head on a shaft and commemorates Francis Chapple, who died in 1845, along with other family members. The inscriptions are in rustic Gothic letters, making it an interesting example of Gothic Revival design.
