Description
This is an early 18th-century headstone located about 10 meters south of the porch of the Church of St Peter in Lew Trenchard. The headstone is made of slate and features a nowy head with canted corners. It commemorates William Frise of Thrushelton, who died in 1739. The design includes a stylized skull and scythe carved in relief at the top, flanked by a pick and spade, with an inscription below.
