Description
Lew Quarry Cottage is a house that likely dates from the 18th century. It has a whitewashed exterior and a thatched roof with hipped ends, featuring a large stone chimney stack on the ridge. The building has a single depth plan and is two rooms wide, with a late 19th or 20th-century lean-to extension on the left side. It stands two storeys high and has a regular two-window front. There is a later inserted ground floor window to the left of the centre and a slightly off-centre 20th-century porch. To the left of the porch is one fixed window, while the ground floor features three-light casement windows on the left and right, which are either from the 19th or 20th century. The eaves are eyebrowed over two first-floor casements, also from the 19th or 20th century, which have glazing bars. The interior has not been inspected.
