Description
This building is a shippon located approximately 20 meters south of Rollstone Farmhouse, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of cob and stone, topped with a hipped corrugated iron roof. The structure is one storey with a loft above. The first floor is made of cob and is supported by four round stone piers, which previously allowed for an open-fronted ground floor; these openings have since been infilled with concrete blocks and fitted with 20th-century doors. To the right, there is a 19th-century outshut with a pantile roof. Inside, the shippon features roughly-chamfered ground-floor beams and a five-bay A-frame roof, with each truss having a pegged collar and a ridge purlin set in a crossed apex.
