Description

The granary located immediately to the west of Hartleigh Barton dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It features brick and timber-framed walls that are plastered, topped with a pyramidal slate roof that has overhanging eaves. The building has a rectangular, almost square plan and is a single storey, elevated on granite staddle stones. Access is provided by wooden steps leading to a plank door at the north end wall. On the east side, there are two small louvred openings situated under the eaves. The interior has not been inspected.
