Description

Bridgeland Bridge is a road bridge that spans the Kate Brook, likely built in the early 19th century. It is constructed from local grey limestone rubble and features a single-span design with a segmental arch and a smaller flood arch. The bridge has parapets, which include openings at road level that allow for drainage of water from the road surface and serve as a safety feature in case the water level rises to the height of the parapets. The bridge has group value with the adjacent mill building known as the 'Wheel'.
